I love pie, don’t get me wrong. Apple, blueberry, strawberry, rhubarb, cherry, the list goes on…… but look at this galette. This is a thing of beauty! It looks home-made, “rustic”, it tastes amazing and it is so versatile. This can be used with fruit, meats, and vegi’s. My personal favorite, Onions Galette, think french onion soup, in a pie. Heaps of caramelized onions, slowly stewed, nestled between shredded layers of gruyere cheese, and then baked in the oven…….. “oh man” my mouth is watering.
Try this at home. “Oh” and add the wine!!!!! and then invite me!
